Description
Sextant is a laser system used primarily to remove tattoos. It can also be used to remove congenital or acquired skin discolourations such as otas nevus, birth marks, or dermal speckles. The Sextant can remove black, blue, brown, and red tattoo colours from all parts of the body. The Sextant treatment head is at the front of the unit to provide maximum reach.
The Sextant is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser delivering light at a specific coherent wavelength designed to be absorbed by the darker coloured feature under treatment. The high energy absorbed by the feature shatters the pigment particles into tiny fragments which can then be disposed by the body through natural absorbtion processes. The specific wavelengths cannot be absorbed by the skin or neighboring tissues so no damage can occur to the surrounding anatomy.
